Find out the real reason that Warwick Davis will not be participating in any future Leprechaun movies

The little Goblin in the leprechaun movies may not be as recognizable as Freddy or Jason,  but he has definitely cemented his place in the horror-movie community.  Leprechaun   Franchise already has multiple sequels a prequel, and it’s getting ready to get another installment on December 11th Lionsgate will release the leprechaun returns to digital media. The series is said to be returning to its roots as it is a direct sequel to the 1993 leprechaun. Unfortunately Warwick Davis will not return to play the Leprechaun this time. In an interview with BANG Showbiz, Davis said.

You know what we did six ‘Leprechaun’ films and around Halloween people always watch them and love them. Horror is an interesting medium, I think it’s different when you have kids, you look at horror in a slightly different way. Since I finished the ‘Leprechaun’ films I had kids and I see the world through their eyes and to be in a horror movie right now is probably not quite right, I will wait until my son turns 18 and then I’ll do some horror again.

Whenever the leprechaun prequel was being made in 2012 by the WWE Davis expressed interest in wanting to be involved in the project, it in an interview from www.dreadcentral.com

Warwick Davis said :
Well, when it comes to the remake or the reboot or whatever it may end up being, I pretty much only know as much as you or anyone else seems to know right now. I just know Lionsgate and WWE are making it, but from what I’ve heard, I do think it will end up being more of a reboot than a remake. But no one has called me about it yet so I’m not sure what is happening with it exactly. I do know that if they did call me, I’d love to do a seventh Leprechaun movie.I think people tend to forget that the Leprechaun movies are actually pretty physical movies so I don’t know if I can be doing these in 20 years; I’d like to do them sooner than later if I do get called to be this character again since it’s definitely a physical role and I’m not getting any younger”

I think it’s safe to say with the two statements side by side that it would be really doubtful to ever see Davis back in the role as the leprechaun Because by the time he comes off of his break from horror he will probably be a little too old to do a movie role that’s so physically demanding. As disappointed as that news is I am still very hopeful an open-minded for the leprechaun returns, the movie will be a direct sequel to the original 1993 leprechaun,  The Little Mean Green Goblin will be played by Linden Porco It will be interesting to see if he can pull it off. Warwick Davis has left him with some pretty big little shoes to fill. Leprechaun Returns, Premieres on Digital Media December 11th
